U can't subsidize staple food items with the foreign currency u absorve and expect everything to go well all the time. It's common sense: don't play with food.

  5.  @hizbee5524  gold would make it worst. Basic economics, a lot of countries were able to feed their people because of the dollar sistem. Make it a gold standard and country disparity gets bigger not smaller.

  8.  @crimsonrain9570  yup. Vietnam invested in the small country towns and they have less migration into the cities. Pakistan would do better if it de-centralized services and public administrations.
