  7. That's because the agro-industry sold the idea that their fertilizers were a must and no other option was available. It isn't so and there are more profitable ways to produce food but hey those don't use the amounts that give wealth to the few doing fertilizer biz.

  9. ​ @hasjoined5702 the fact that a portion of the protesters are in fact "fascists" doesn't mean the whole group is, or that the protest is invalid. The topic here is a politician deciding above the justice sistem (division of powers) for personal gain or partisanship gain. This is the topic and not what the groups (plural) are, there are some of them who vote traditionally psoe (socialists) but that doesn't mean all there are socialists. Also, PP isn't fascist and albeit having some fascist elements or supporters vox isn't fascist either. Providing a black and white narrative in a grey area matter is a form of propaganda and thus manipulation of the masses.

En relacion a espana la izquierda generalm es muy hipocrita porque siempre esta contra nacionalismo pero si es nacional-separatismo entonces lo accepta. Lo mismo pasa con la izquierda en portugal (bloco de esquerda) que hasta hacia apologia de los terroristas bascos. Es porque defienden revolucion violenta y cosas asi. Muy feo, inexcusable en mi opinion. Esto no hace la derecha buena esta claro, pero aqui hay algo que las personas siempre olvidan de los partidos mas a la izquierda.

What made the jump was use of machinery which made harvesting faster and less loss of quantity of food. Fertilizers erode the soil. This is known since the 70's but the lobby is huge.

  14. Yes, but since Alexander the great until nowadays armies have learned, but looks like russia hasn't. My country is small and unimportant and the army has a 8 to 10 days kit in every bagpack. So supply of food isn't an issue to start with. And this is a poor country budget, one would think russia would do better at least in feeding solgiers the first week.
