@junebrilly5302 that saying never reached that area of the world. To ask (or demand) for a region to follow rules and ideas from outside is very colonizing. They don't see the world with the same prespective - period.

@kappy-nf6uh not in all situations all the time. For example, the ottomans forbade the printing press which would introduce new business and thus more tax money. There are a lot more regulations that went against that rule.

@lindarose7475 yes, that region. Because that region is inheritor of same political rulling classes. Fun fact: there were multiple attempts to unite that region into 1 country exactly because of the huge similarities between them. Not so fun fact: ur obcesion to be ofended in the name of other which in fact is a form of racism where the ofended is seen as unable to fend for itself and in need of an "american saviour" (lets face it, its a american culture phenomenon coppied from the white saviour complex). 🤣 Ur hilarious!
