I remember the colorful popular press stories about an ice age from the 70's too, but that was NOT the scientific literature. ... no, I actually just meant to point out that Dave seems less than well informed about practically everything he talks about except that SJW culture is silly and his show and his idea of just letting everyone speak nonsense unchallenged contributes absolutely nothing to anything apart from spreading manufactured doubt about stuff where there really are real answers to be had. Originally The Rubin Report seemed promising, but it has degenerated into a ill informed nonsense-cannon.

... Sam Harris seems to do everything Rubin claimed he would do ... While Rubin doing none of it. I don't really see the point in not challenging guests on controversial statements. There's a lot of issues out there where it has been proven time and time again that misinformation, strawmen and halftruths works to confuse an audience. ... just take creationism. Crackpots have been traveling in manufactured doubt for years.

I have a hard time taking anyone serious who just sits there drooling over Brigitte Gabriel spouting George Soros conspiracy theories. For all there's wrong with the authoritarian left, criticism of it completely loses credibility if you are not able to apply the same standard of argumentation and reason to the fact-free right. IMNSHO Sam Harris does this right and Dave Rubin only contributes to the mess.

+d4n4nable If that actually did illustrate some useful point there would be no way to identify actually ill-informed people. I can assure you that there are plenty of people who I disagree with who I don't regard as ill-informed.
