@superdave8248 Not right about either FDR or Reagan. FDR's ability to walk was undermined by complications from Polio. That didn't affect his intellect or his ability to communicate. The press hid his infirmity for political purposes to shine his image, but that was about elections, not competence. You don't need to be able to walk to fulfill an executive position in a technological society, provided the entity you're running can support your physical needs. Polio crippled FDR physically, but it didn't make him a dotard. Ronald Reagan, the Great Communicator, was not diagnosed and wasn't symptomatic in office. Four years after his second term expired he made a speech at a political rally supporting his former veep in the latter's reelection bid. He visibly was not what he had been, but he performed better than Biden was performing in 2020. The only major health problem he had while in office was being shot.
