  2.  @aussie6910  Slavery was abolished in the British Empire in 1833, not 1803, about 30 years before the Emancipation Proclamation. If the US hadn't removed itself from the Empire, the democratic evolution of the UK would likely have been very much slower, and slavery would have been abolished much later.

  13. The camera at the Superbowl shows that he is. The regard shown by other celebs shows that he is. He's not arbitrarily arrogating fame, he's noting the signs of fame that come his way. He is a person whose proper name decent folk capitalize as a courtesy.
