@stefaniebraun3319 Do you mean "fathom"? Even that's not quite appropriate, but I'll run with it. Russia, as currently led WILL arrogate itself into any power vacuum it can. But it matters not. Vulnerablility draws aggressors like honey draws flies.

Your syllogism is missing a minor premise: "Countries with problems don't invade other countries." That is an assertion you will have trouble defending historically. "thrustworthy"? Do you mean "trustworthy"? Certainly you can depend on them to use the energy supply to influence your policy, and the revenue to build up their military. "Leave WHO and watch China take over the global healthcare agenda." WHO is obviously already controlled by China. There is no advantage to letting them use that control to leverage our tax money to their agenda. "It is much more promising to keep on cooperating and pushing for political change slowly, politely and constantly." Precisely what does such a "strategy" promise, other than a worsening of the status quo on our dime? "The Arabian World is in turmoil." What does this have to do with the original subject, a European country avoiding war by the only means possible, preparing for it? If you don't understand this fundamental aspect of history and human nature, how can you expect to understand a conflict in which you have no national involvement?
