You should see a doctor about that.

You think FLORIDA is going to run out of jobs? Hold your breath.
3
@curtisthomas2670 "they CAN'T tax residents and businesses at the high rates Disney was paying." Disney didn't lobby for the arrangement in the first place because it was COSTING them money.
2
DeSantis is bringing more business to Florida than Disney can take out. All those professionals and businesses moving from Cali, Illinois, and NY to Florida aren't coming to see the Mouse.
2
"Florida is so damn toxic" If so, the why is everybody from Cali and NY moving IN?
2
Disney was already all in against DeSantis. Reducing their revenue and political clout won't make them more dangerous.
2
You think FLORIDA is going to run out of jobs? Hold your breath.
2
Not a Floridian, but I just spent a month there visiting my mother. I'd move there if I could stand the weather.
2
Who do you think you're fooling? Do you think that Disney originally lobbied for this autonomy arrangement as an incentive for them to invest in Orlando BECAUSE IT WOULD COST THEM MONEY? If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.
1
If you think that FLORIDA is going to run out of jobs and tax revenue when all the professionals, middle class people and businesses are moving IN as fast as they can, well, buy all means hold your breath until that happens.
1
Yes, repealing corporate welfare is small government.
1
So you and 2 other people are staying away from Florida. Everybody else is moving there, including businesses.
1
JoeBidenIsTrash I doubt you'll miss them at that.
1
@rednawt1 It means enslaved. And,... TO CALI? Do they even have lanes going that way anymore? All the traffic is the other way. Especially the U-hauls.
1
Well the millions of people and thousands of businesses that moved into Florida thought so.
1
DeSantis is bringing more business into Florida than Disney can take out.

@lop8828 Under the sea, under the sea Darling, it's better down where it's wetter Take it from me Up on the shore, they work all day Out in the sun they slave away While we devotin', full time to floatin' Under the sea

@vaderracing3846 He's not asking what state would want it. He's asking what state has the climate for it. Investment writeoff PLUS a climate downgrade? I hope they go for that.
1
@zeefoolsby9188 "The policies are driving away the ones that can leave." Reality check. NOBODY wants to leave Florida. Not now. Pull your head out of your bubble and read the demographics. Everybody is moving IN.
1
@zeefoolsby9188 " there is a well documented mass Exodus occurring in Florida, despite it still having a net positive influx of people." Doubletalk. Of course any state has people moving both in and out. If "mass exodus" in the sense you were using it doesn't mean "net exodus", then it doesn't mean anything at all. "bigots attracted by Ron d" Why would a bigot be attracted to any Republican? Democrats are the ones pushing segregation, identity politics, and race hate. Richard Spencer endorsed Biden/Harris in '20. Nick Fuentes tried to urge Georgia conservatives to stay home and not vote in the runoff elections that handed the Dems the effective majority in the Senate. Groypers are pulling out all the stops to ensure that conservatives lose, they are doing this OPENLY, and you HAVEN"T NOTICED?
1
Who do you think Florida will be paying TAXES to?
1
I hear Southern China has nice weather.
1
No, this isn't a bananna republic, you can't nationalize a corporation like Obama did with General Motors.
1
"Without Disney, many people outside of Florida wouldn't even think of traveling to Florida" That might have been true 10 years ago, but now all the professionals and businesses are moving IN. Haven't you noticed? Childless couples from Cali aren't moving to Florida for Disney World, and the park is losing business already.
1
Hold your breath.
1
And this would hurt Florida how? Disney made a lot of hay out of the sweetheart deal that's ending, but with all the middle class people and professionals and businesses moving into Florida, it's not like the state is going to run out of jobs or tax revenue.
1
With all the professionals and middle class and businesses moving IN to FLORIDA, what do YOU think will happen to Florida's economy? The same thing that is happening to it now.
1
That's not what you should be looking for in a public servant.
1
@patrickherron502 "family oriented for history" Ancient history, by now of course. They joined the attack on the family many years ago.
1
Disney was already all in against DeSantis. Not fun when the people fight back?
1
Leave the galaxy!

@kpokpojiji "About 20% of the population is part of the LGBTQ family now." 7% Gallup Poll. "They have a right to live their lives." The unelected "spokespersons" for LGBTQ are trying to force everyone else to live their lives and punish anybody who criticizes them. Any group that has the "right" to do that is set up as a "master race". Conservative freedom is freedom "TO" (freedom to act). Leftist freedom is freedom "FROM" (obligations, autonomy, criticism, inconvenient truth). You can't give somebody freedom "FROM" with out taking away everybody else's freedom "TO". There was once a class of people in America who had freedom "FROM", their housing and food was provided by others, but they had no freedom "TO". They were called slaves. That is always what freedom "FROM" amounts to for somebody. We are the ones who are being coerced, and put upon and proscribed at every turn, not the alphabet soup types. Moral and sexual instruction of children is supposed to be under the control of the parents. By what objective standard is that supposed to be wrong? It is under this understanding that the public schools were permitted to exist in the first place. Not wanting somebody to dictate to you and indoctrinate your children to their hurt is not hating that somebody. Wanting to dictate to somebody and indoctrinate their children to their hurt IS hating that somebody. Not to put a fine point on it, it is declaring war on that somebody. It is cultural genocide.

@MrsMcIlrath Typical lack of self consciousness. Here they're coming for the Christians first. We are the ones being targeted as "terrorists" for speaking out against "curricula" in school board meetings. We are the ones getting sued because we won't create works of art that violate our conscience. You are the ones exerting monetary, governmental, and media power to oppress US. When we act in self defense you cry "foul!" When we speak in self defense, you censor us. When we protest in self defense you send black shirted thugs to beat us up. You have the right historical parallel, but you have the sides mixed up. "Antifa/BLM" are the Brown Shirts. The Black Block riots were "Crystal Nacht". "Jan 6" was the "Riechstag Fire". Crybullies all. The leftist cries in pain as he beats you.
1
@MrsMcIlrath "Never once did I say I wasn’t Christian " I didn't either. "Just like I don’t want the govt telling me and my family what I can and can’t do." If only you extended the same consideration to us. No Christians are violating your rights. "Where does it say give the church 10%?" It doesn't to us. (It did to Israel.) "And those blm have every right to peaceful protest and if u google ull find literally 98% were peaceful." Nobody said anybody didn't have the right to peacefully protest. It is burning down huge swaths of cities, murdering people, smashing stores that I object to. The terrorist part. If I "google it" "it" will call the riots "mostly peaceful protests" because that is the phrase agreed upon by the establishment and parroted word for word by establishment outlets. The TV reporter even used that phrase while reporting with a backdrop of burning cars and buildings. Google is not a non-partizan source. " U didn’t care when trump used all kinds of resources making us look dumb beating up international reporters in Washington DC at a peaceful protest." In English, please. "They’re usually the ones taking away rights and trying to make everyone play by their rules." Examples. And don't say when we object to the grooming of children or their exposure to sexually explicit materials. We didn't make up those rules. Every major culture historically has condemned THAT. When have we violated anybody's rights? "Wanna Guess how many white men have almost killed and r@ped me? And guess how many blk." Why would I want to do that? I'm not a racist. And why would you frame the dichotomy in terms of race? I'll venture a guess that more Democrats tried to rape you than Republicans. And more "spiritual" types like yourself than adherents to your dreaded "organized Christianity".

Absurd. Any high level law that forbids something that is NOT WRONG is an unjust law. Morality always judges the law, as it judges everything else. If not, what right did we have to hang the Nuremberg defendants? Killing Jews was LEGAL in the jurisdiction in which they did it. Morality is the only excuse law has to exist, "And whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends..."
1
@citizen-F No actually resistance works better than surrender. Disney has a lot of assets, but not a lot of profit recently, how much of their intellectual property do you think they want to sell?
1
He didn't nationalize Disney World, he just ended their sweetheart deal.
1
I am sure Disney Corp didn't lobby for this arrangement as an incentive for investing there in the first place BECAUSE IT COST THEM MORE MONEY. Sheesh. And aren't you the ones saying that government can always do it better?
1
People and businesses from all over the country are moving to Florida, especially from Cali, Illinois, and NY. If you're waiting for jobs and tax revenue to dry up in Florida, do the gene pool a favor and hold your breath.
1
@micahhill4786 How does that bolster your point or challenge mine? Higher property prices in prime areas is a function of local prosperity. You are making my point, not yours.
1
Bulverism. You impute an irrational or ignoble motive to an idea or policy, which excuse you and (you hope) your reader for dismissing the arguments in favor without consideration. What the our educations system is inculcating to replace critical thinking.
1
If you really believe that Disney lobbied for the original autonomous region arrangement as an incentive for investing there because IT COST THEM MONEY, I have a bridge to sell you.
1
Do you seriously believe that Disney negotiated the original autonomy deal as an incentive to invest in Orlando BECAUSE IT WOULD COST THEM MONEY? If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.
1
Do you think he would refrain from doing right by Florida unless it helped a presidential bid?
1
The rest of us think it would be fine if Disney packed up and left the Galaxy. With all the businesses and professionals moving in from Cali, Illinois, and NY, it's not like Florida is going to run out of jobs or tax revenue.
