"It's a matter of speaking/writing clearly" "Comparative is different from positive" IS speaking and writing clearly. Not understanding the difference is a reading/hearing comprehension problem and you fix the part that's broken, you don't hobble the part that works properly to accommodate the defective. That failure to do this WRONG can lead to liability is a bug in our litigative society, virtually the opposite of the principle of clarity that you imply it is.

Don't be absurd. If a kerosene heater won't asphyxiate you, then a hurricane lantern won't either. And the word you were looking for is "ceremonially". "Ceremoniously" is a word, but it doesn't mean quite what you were trying to say.

@abstractapproach634 I was not so much assuming the poster's beliefs as applying an expounded principle to current social pitfalls. And the runaway litigation problem is not quite a R/D partizan issue, though there is a component of that.

simonmana 220 volt lines are for an electric clothes dryer or electric cooking range, not a washer. Our washers run on 110 v 2000w appliance outlets.
