@aspensulphate " IT USES THE SAME WORD?? " It does not. It uses the same root. "Safe" IS NOT the same word as "safer". "It's a matter of speaking/writing clearly" "Comparative is different from positive" IS speaking and writing clearly. Not understanding the difference is a reading/hearing comprehension problem and you fix the part that's broken, you don't hobble the part that works properly to accommodate the defective. That failure to do this WRONG can lead to liability is a bug in our litigative society, virtually the opposite of the principle of clarity that you imply it is.

@abstractapproach634 I was not so much assuming the poster's beliefs as applying an expounded principle to current social pitfalls. And the runaway litigation problem is not quite a R/D partizan issue, though there is a component of that.
