  1. "Russia is getting something that never belonged to them". Actually, Ukraine's territory belonged to Russia since 17th century and remained integral part of it until 1917. Then, Ukrainian SSR was formed and was also not an independent state, but part of Soviet Union. Crimea directly belonged to Russian Federative Socialist Republic until 1954. These are historical Russian lands, with russian speaking people. Respecting Russia's interests is the only way for real peace.
