  1. Ventilators are not a big seller under capitalism. They are not a hot commodity market where people are buying ventilators left and right in Walmart stores,--- so they are not produced in mass. They may save lives and are a good device that they should be built into every residence in this country as part of a house, apartment or workplace but as a commodity they don’t sell. And since they do not sell the market discounts any job creation or new skill and development that could go into ventilators and when the next big need arises the nation is working with WWII era ventilators and not enough of them would be an example of the kind of crisis generated by a capitalist system of health care. What is a hot commodity in the health field is disease. There is money in disease. In order to make a population sick the disease has to come natural or be manufactured in order for the logic of exchange to take effect. The Logic: More people that are sick the more money can be made from the sale of treatment and medicine. In a capitalist form of health care, health becomes a thing you can buy where the rich live, and the poor die. Disease is the commodity on which the Health Establishment is built and the ‘social relation’ on which the Health Establishment will fall.
