Peace would bring about a sharp fall in profits that the government will have to manufacture war and more military for new markets not realizing that the decline of the US economy is coming from internal causes. The internal causes are the American corporations themselves. They project the causes to be from an external competitor when, in fact, it is innovation that is reshaping work domestically resulting in a weak investment cycle, despite its recovery, high productivity has damaging effects for the economy but advantageous effects for capitalists. Machinery throws people out of work is a damaging effect on the working class but at the same time, innovation increases the profits of the corporations, is the cause of the decline not the Russians or the Chinese.
