True, they do not have enough experience and knowledge to know all wars end with a diplomatic solution. Its inevitable anyway may as well keep the lines of communication between Russia and the US open. Nothing can be done if a ceasefire does not happen. You can’t get to the treaties, you cannot address the energy problems in Europe and in America. No diplomacy.

Oligarchs secure their interest before anyone else,-- they win anyway. The bullies are the oligarchs and their imperialism is their crime. Capitalist expansion, more markets, (use our money and if we don’t like what your doing we can take your money, they want to privatize public works of other nations at the expense of native industries) is imperialism, this bullies countries and this trickles down into society as a habit forming culture. We have or should have a beef with this because taxes will never gown down as long as imperialism continues but will always rise. If you hate high taxes than you should hate imperialism. If there is no admission of US and NATO aggression by the US and NATO preceding the war Russia will never cease its aggression in the war. Diplomacy is the way to deal with the Russians on a score of matters that have nothing to do with Ukraine Obama, Trump and Biden have neglected, and a ceasefire is how that process begins settle those matters. Without a ceasefire in Ukraine you cannot get to those matters.
