The owners of money, who enjoys the rights of ownership, must find labor-power for sale or you don’t have capitalism.
Countries that do not have a robust job market do not attract capital investment are the least developed countries in the world.
These rare typically countries where labor appears as a peasantry, small and rich peasant land owning and self-sufficient farming families.
They do not produce enough for a nation of 100 above million people but enough for 60 million and under.
The world is split between two modes of production. One half is industrial and the other half is agricultural.
The same split appears between cities, towns and countryside, one part industrial the other part farm, and even at a higher level of abstract inspection a split at the factory level between working and the work itself, one part human the other part machine. How many jobs are more machine than human and how many jobs are more human than machine? Then at an even higher level of thought and contemplation a splitting apart of the individual self into two parts. One part connected to the means and the other part disconnected from the means. Classes of people and families emerge who are connected to the land and classes of people and families having no land at all, homelessness, vagabonds, cartels, cons and criminal elements, addicts and prostitution.
Countries with 60 million people or better do not have enough colleges to train students into a job market or not enough hospitals to educate a percentage of the population into medicine because there is no capital investment in that locality or nation. The function of the World Bank can be summed up in one task, that is to create the conditions required before money can be converted into capital. If it does not like Pakistan the World Bank will lend out money under terms that oppress Pakistan.
A capitalist society is a society with a job market and a money market.
Its a society where companies are divided by two classes of people; the owners of money are the employers and the employees are the owners of labor-power. This pretty much covers a classical definition of class than there is struggle to that class concept because classes are never static but are in motion, after all, they are human beings. And people are never idle. Either way the condition described above is totally unnatural to the human being from a standpoint of health and what’s worse, the conditions described above have no social basis justifying they should even exist. They came about through historical development, the product of many economic revolutions, of the extinction of a series of older forms of work and employment in different cultures and societies. What makes us different from the past is the observation that all our products are intended for sale as commodities. All forms of work in society is dominated by commodity production because the greater part of our products are not yet intended for immediate consumption by the working classes. This would prevent them from becoming commodities in the first place. Historical development will bring these economic, social and political splits about for you if people do not intervene on historical development. Grab the bull by the rains so to speak. China and Russia before her found a way to deal with this problem, America will have to find its own way, overcoming the splits to move toward a unification of object with its subject.
