In the 70s a guy like the State Department guy, a square dude would have gotten his face punched by reporters of that time. There was so little respect for square people, anyone appearing as he does was so allied with the establishment that he would have had to leave the building for his life. The young generation in the 70s were militants ready to tear down the establishment the room would have others holding the state department official with hard questions is the real difference between that room now and in the 70s.
