Empires cannot exist without holding on to power which make a military an extension of the rulers for one thing. For another, we have reached a point where its the individual’s turn to appropriate the totality of the productive industries, not only for self-activity, but to safeguard our very existence from empire. We are looking at a long period of time since the atomic bomb and fossil fuel came into existence with the combustible engine that empires have continuously brought the crisis to this point. The answer is not more war because war has no aspect of itself that has a universal character heavy enough for all individuals to accept or embrace as grounds and a reason to take away these productive powers from the rulers that be. What does carry such weight on everyone’s minds is species extinction.
