None of this (meaning the exploitation of nature and of people by people) would exist, that native indigenous populations would be an obstacle to the success and vitality of a nation if the stability, success and vitality of a nation did not depend on its share of the world market for the products it can extract from its own natural resources or from any rainforest in the world. Nations have to ask themselves what is the purpose of a nation if what counts more is its productive capacity and how much of the world market each nation is in competition for defines a nation? What is a nation if it works for an object and and dismisses its needs in all its subjects?
