  1. People in the US do not realize they do not have to work 60 hours a week to meet their needs. In fact, getting other people to get people to work over the amount people really need is the cornerstone of American social life. Cut the working day in half and families can pay attention to raising their kids and not grow up to become little Nazis raised by the internet. America can build a house and produce food cheap but people are kept from the value of their product by dealing with capitalists. Their job is to get you to work the hours over and above the general productive average. They want the gravy your work creates after you created some for yourself and family. Described as a rat race the rat race becomes a living hell in the world of work, chaotic, disorganized...anything goes including life and limb. Neglect how you make a living and you also neglect the quality of life.
