You understand that the virus has to enter your body before your immune system can fight it. Therefore there’s no vaccine ever made that prevents you from becoming infected. The deal is, if you have antibodies, your immune system can recognize the pathogen before it causes damage and fight it off before that damage becomes severe. Vaccines also reduce transmission, because the virus particles that you shed will be coated with antibodies which renders than ineffective. However, The PCR tests do not detect antibodies or whether viruses have been coated with them or not. They only detect the RNA for the virus. Therefore when someone tests positive on a PCR test, we don’t know whether or not they’re contagious. We only know that they might be contagious and therefore they need to quarantine. It is not practical to culture every sample in a petri dish to check whether the viral particles are viable or not. The media seems to be doing a very poor job explaining these things. They probably don’t understand them. They’re just as confused as the ignore ant antivaxxers.

  7. No. Because the vaccines focus on the spike proteins, we develop better and more varied spike protein antibodies, and those are the only antibodies that matter. The rest are irrelevant. That’s why Regeneron and other monoclonals are all antibodies against the spike proteins.
