@patriceferguson7340 , The United States threw away 100 million doses of AstraZeneca. There are many more vaccines that were already in phase 3 efficacy trials a year ago than are approved today because they were already proven safe, but not yet proven effective. Now, we know they’re both safe and effective. The whole world could have been vaccinated months ago if they lowered the bar from safe and effective to safe and probably effective.

Around half of those infected by this virus have been asymptomatic since the beginning of the pandemic. With an IFR of around 1% and around 900,000 deaths, there have been around 90-100 million infected. So around 50 million or so have been infected and didn’t even know it. So I guess stories like yours would be quite common. Yet, there are still over 900,000 dead Americans and many more still suffer long term side effects. That’s why anecdotal stories like this are irrelevant. You got lucky. So what?
