  1. Two Australian states have giving up on eliminating delta. But the others are still trying, and might still succeed.

  2.  @annelinebothma3232 , Australian defeated the virus twice last year. The result was that they were perfectly normal with no restrictions for most of last year. So the lockdowns that they had last year were hugely successful. Unfortunately delta is a lot more contagious, so it’s more difficult to stop. However, they now have vaccines, so they can vaccinate everyone while they slow the virus. Also, The Australian states who have not yet given up have very few cases (which is why they haven’t given up), so they only need severe restrictions on their borders. However, I believe they’re making some mistakes. They are allowing truckers to cross the borders. What they should do is have truckers drop off their trailers at the border, and have another trucker pick it up. They should not be allowing people across the border without quarantine and testing. Otherwise they’re taking a risk.

  10. As of a month ago Israel was only 60% vaccinated. That leaves a lot of people to be infected and become hospitalized. During the past month there have been a LOT of vaccinations, but I don’t know if these are boosters, or unvaccinated getting vaccinated.
