@trevorcrook5753 , The virus is 0.12 microns across. We do not exhale individual viruses. We exhale droplets of mucous containing severe viruses per droplet. N95 masks block 95% of particles 0.3 microns across. A mucous droplet containing only 3 viruses will most likely not make it through the mask. Aerosols are not water vapor. These droplets of mucous are significantly larger than 0.3 microns across. Since all this is likely over your head, here’s the simple explanation: You’re wrong.

South Africa experienced 3 waves where the infected exceeded 26% all three times. That means that a minimum of 78% of the population has previously been infected and therefore have antibodies. On top of that 25% have been vaccinated. It’s very likely that well over 90% of the population has existing antibodies.

@redrobin4026 , The test for Omicron is either to gene sequence the virus from samples, or conducted a particular PCR test that is accidentally able to differentiate between Omicron and previous variants.
