  1. Those trillions of yuan for sure ended up in the pockets of corrupt officials. Had officials been half as corrupt, those provinces will not be so dependent in tourism as they are now.

  2. Average is only 2k yuan per head in 3 days. That's less than 700 yuan per day per head. Considering that the prices in that village were inflated, that's not much spending. People went there to forget their problems for three days.
