Second, immortality is probably the most boring and painful thing a person can go through. You'd run out of things to do, and you'd have to watch loved ones grow old and die. Finally, what happens when the end of the world finally comes? Be it through nuclear apocalypse, or the sun exploding, this world will eventually end. You really wanna live to see that?
