  2.  @seancorrigan  They are good but they can only be in one place at one time, just like an RAF with 9 frontline squadrons and an Army with 72000 men (smaller than it was in 1815)

  3.  @seancorrigan  IF they all get built! bear in mind as well two are likely to be in dock for service/upgrades etc. at any one time.

  4.  @skylongskylong1982  I think India and Russia spend more but either way it's a lot! Lack of long term planning I think, the carriers took so long and cost so much because governments kept cutting the budget, even now they will only have half the escorts originally considered necessary.
