  6. Your 6 arguments against organic foods have nothing to do with the real my reasons to support this food choice. All of them are straw arguments: #1) I never claimed that organic produce had more nutrients. 2) I have no serious interest in how healthy farm animals are before slaughter 3) I believe that most whining about the "environment" is anti intellectual political posturing for the left 4) More land is required and I more land should be reserved for healthy and productive farming. 5) Real "Organic" produce does not use pyrethins or Copper Sulfate. Many organic farms and gardeners us other non chemical non additive methods. I plant my produce where each species supports the health of adjacent species. At times, insects and pests can damage portions of the crop but these are easily composted for the future. 6) Of course marketing of anything can not be trusted. No one trusts a used car salesman which is equivalent to "marketing' as a profession. There are scam artists everywhere there is money or the possibility to tax regulate and control others ( government controlled by agribusiness). The present local and state control of pesticide application and use is unsatisfactory. I live in an agricultural area of California. Misuse and misapplication of herbicides pesticides and fertilizers is common. Many of the workers who use and are exposed to these toxic chemicals are not monitored for health or safety when they use the products. I have driven on public roads and observed plumes of fog and smoke emitting from tractors that covered the highway. The driver was dressed in a "spacesuit" with respirator and when others see this they race away. What does one do call the pesticide police? Good luck! That would merit a priority less than a "lost cat". What is the bubble suit for entertainment? amusement? or to protect the worker who is spraying it like it is harmless. I can tell you have never driven on a public highway and got buzz bombed by an agricultural aircraft. Yes, even crop dusters make "mistakes", a valve gets stuck open and another 1,000 gallons of herbicides or pesticides gets dumped on the public roads. I think a prudent person takes responsibility for their OWN HEALTH and not blindly trust Agribusiness and their minions who are at the controls of elected officials ( campaign contributions) and the Federal state and local agencies who care more about careers power and control than public health. The EPA USDA and FDA all need CLOSE supervision by the people NOT including BIG Agriculture and BIg Pharma.
