  12.  @Alien_isolationist  The Russian coup would only take 3 days. At most a few weeks. Here we are 18 months later with Russia having less stolen Ukrainian territory than in the first 3 months and not able to advance any further. Approaching 2 years the Russian economy is starting to crack as currency reserves are running low and sanctions are really starting to bite. Putin has trapped himself in Ukraine with only two possibilities. Try to hold on to what he's stolen and negotiate for a cease fire/peace deal (which he will not get) or continue the war and drive his country into the ground.
