Perhaps you can remind me again how the UK, and perhaps more specifically England, fared during the recent pandemic? While things in NZ weren't perfect, we fared considerably better than the UK. Ardern also steered the country through our first major terrorist attack (the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior didn't really count) and a volcanic eruption which had the potential to devastate our tourism sector. And her first term was with a coalition partner who went out of his way to counter a lot of Labour's plans.

@andybrice2711 basically, we locked down once the first case appeared here, and introduced a mandatory hotel-based quarantine system. But it's less about the overall response, and more about the personal one from the person in charge. Unlike the UK and US which had leaders who either denied or deflected, Ardern was upfront with people. She even hosted Facebook Live sessions from home where she could 'check in' and sometimes answer questions from the public. It was a much more reassuring approach to handling things.

Nothing sprang to mind immediately for the end of your comment, so I checked online. Turns out 'Cheak' is the name of company selling female clothing. This led me to assume you meant '...on the same street' but they appear to be an online-only business. How about '...on the same screen'?
