Vit D levels in Australia are not perhaps as high as you’d expect in some states, for a range of reasons -how and where people work means they don’t see as much sun as you’d expect, sun protection is used by huge majority of people because of high rates of skin cancer, etc. As well, Australia has a very large moat around it! Then there’s the fact that Australians are by and less more compliant than are Brits. Fewer complaints about the curfews etc. that were far more rigid than in UK.
