  5. Political spectra are relative. While the democrats in the US are left, they would be on the right in every EU country. So I disagree with you, the mentioned parties, compared to the other parties of said countries, are center left.

  6.  @Debre.  How so? The US Democrats (as their version of a left wing party) are mostly against universal health care. This alone puts them on the far right on economic terms in the EU political spectrum.
