I went to many furniture stores. IKEA usually has the best price for value. If you want to have something better, prices quadruple. If you buy something for the same price at another store, it often lacks behind in quality. I don’t say ikea has any more moral than any other company. But it gives good value for money, and I have quiet some furniture from them lasting decades.

From my Russian relatives I know sugar and flour are out of stock in many places.

50% of Russians below the age of 20 want to leave Russia. That tells You what the youth thinks about russias future.
31
@patrikfranzen4535 India’s economy is the size of France.
25
Why spend the money on nuclear research, when you can invest it in renewables now?
10
@tsarcube9284 Russian population does not want to survive, it wants to live.
8
No need to force France. Their reactors are falling apart already. Due to age, many will have to be shut down in the next decades, and only few are newly build.
8
@diogenesofsinope5358 that is the problem I see. Adjustment for purchasing power is not objective and open for manipulation. a country with 20% of its population with no access to indoor plumbing (Russia) has a higher PP than UK or France? I have visited Russia (the real Russia, not just Moscow/St.P), I have visited UK, I have visited France, several times. I have close family ties to Russia. Putting Russia above France/UK is BS.

@Carewolf I said it has the best value, not that it is the cheapest. Sure, there are cheaper stores, but their furniture usually is of worse quality, too.
6
Nuclear is by far the most expensive energy. UK will have to increase its electricity bill for decades because of Hickley Point C
6
@YorkerEli no. Russia is far more dependent on selling its gas and oil than Europe is on importing it. Europe actually has reserves and could live a couple of weeks without imports. Furthermore, the EU already has signed agreements to buy US gas
6
@Carewolf May I ask which ikea competitors are better/cheaper in your experience? And concerning what type of furniture?
5
@Andre-by4su thinks have indeed changed, there was a big shift. Since 2014, Russian living standards are in free fall. Taxes are rising, currency is in decline, pension age for male is now above the average living age. If you follow Russian news closely (Medusa, as a possible source) you see that there are a lot of protests going on in eastern Russia.
5
@Andre-by4su there are independent pollsters left in Russia? Care to name them?
4
@redhidinghood9337 nuclear is even more expensive.
4
@diogenesofsinope5358 I know PPP, and I think it is crap. Russia being better of than France or UK? Seriously?
4
@pierren___ nuclear plants are even more expensive
2
@xenotypos what is science fiction about hydrogen?
2
@ten_tego_teges So safe that a private insurance company will insure it.
2
@liva236muzika you are incorrect. Off shore wind provides a stable source. And if you build enough renewables over a big enough area (Europe) you always have something (sun/wind) somewhere.
2
@diogenesofsinope5358 GDP is the best metric to compare the size of an economy. GDP per capita is the best metric to compare a nations wealth.
2
@m..201 all numbers have its limitations. It depends on what you want to compare. GDP is the best for comparing economic size and relevance.
2
@jeffmorris5802 Just for understanding "originally": are you referring to the 1957 EEC, or the 1993 EU?
1
Both Romania and Bulgaria will soon join Schengen. It is common policy in the EU that a member gets Schengen rights some years after it joined.
1
Is it? Nuclear energy is rather slow, so not really good for renewables.
1
I dont know, I think the Irish have a good shot with their pubs.
1
Great video. And great explanations in the comment section.
1
Well, considering the costs and progress of projects like Hickleypoint or Flamanvile, realty proves you wrong.
1
@joaquimbarbosa896 As long as western nuclear experts do not work for the same wage as belarussian, russian or chinese, this does not matter.
1
@joaquimbarbosa896 France killed its nuclear industry? When?
1
@joaquimbarbosa896 Pardon me? France is building a new reactor in Flamanville since 2007. It it legal to produce hydrogen from nuclear electricity, what are you talking about?
1
Russia and Ukraine are brothers. Russia attacked Ukraine, breaking the Budapest agreement. Attacking your family is unforgivable.
1
I prefer a confederation.
1
@diogenesofsinope5358 what other metric to compare the economic size than gdp?
1
@scvboy1 France isn`t, but it has 70 million people. India has 1.4 billion, so the average Indian has 5% of the wealth of the average French.
