@daniberski6783 Germany is a net exporter of electricity. It produces more than it needs.

German gas storage already at 80%. LNG terminals already under construction. All you demand is already being done.

@bodyloverz30 50% of French nuclear reactors are in unplanned shutdown, and the only reason they keep the grid running is massive electricity imports from Germany.

@bodyloverz30 what are you talking about?

Meanwhile, france desperately imports German electricity because of unreliable nuclear

@daniberski6783 you said other countries run their oil plants due to german energy (instead of electricity) needs. What kind of energy are those oil plants producing for Germany?

Germany can exist without Russian gas. Germanys stored gas reserves are already sufficient to supply the country for the coming winter (80%). LNG terminals will come online by the end of the year. It will be expensive, but Germany can afford it.

First, winters in Germany are relatively mild, most of the time temperature stays above freezing point. Second, gas stored in Germany is already sufficient for winter.

But Germany did replace nuclear by renewables. Both nuclear and coal produced electricity went down, while renewables went up to 50%.
