  1. I do not agree with Mr. Collins on the self deleting thing. I think that we have an unhealthy obsession with trying to live for longer than we aught to, though. The medical advances we have are part of the unbalance we experience. We are basically trying to maximize logetivity and in so doing, we dramatically overshadow the younger generations. Look at our old politicians falling asleep and spacing out in the middle of their job! Is that not a sign that we are waaaaaay out of balance? How can the newer generations thrive and grow tall if they live in the shadow of dying trees? While I do believe that there's something to what he's saying, I just don't want to live in a "Logan's Run" kind of world. Maybe if we were more accepting of death. Not desiring to die, but allowing our lives to be lived in their proper time. I will have to go listen to this fella some more to get a better idea of his process.

  3. I'm in agreement here. I think it would have to be a bit worse than 8 billion people on the planet before we start sounding the alarm. We got on okay with much less for quite a while. I think people can "run numbers" and simulations now so they get all freaked out if it doesn't fit their narrative. Whatever that may be... too many/too few...
