  1. When the US Army Ordnance Museum was still in Aberdeen, they had several examples of the Krummlauf device. Testing reports that I saw suggested that 1) They were hideously impractical, 2) grossly inaccurate, and 3) tended to cause bullets to break up, flinging loosely-aimed fragments in the general direction you were aiming (for certain values of 'aim').
