@slickysan entire pocket north on Robotne and Robotne itself is in low ground compared to hills that Russia is holding. Ukrainian commanders were happily sending thousands there do die for months already

@PalleRasmussen Oh, hi Lars, I live near Moscow, it's nice and chilly

@davefave4351 according to who? Ukrainian war propaganda? Both Zaluzhni and Budanov admitted huge Russian advantage in artillery
1
@davefave4351 it's impossible to determine who certain soviet piece of equipment belongs to or geolocate some random trees most of the time. Russia indeed loses artillery pieces and Ukraine indeed gives proof of that. But there's zero evidence that they lose 100 pieces a day. At best you see 1-4 So again, according to who Russia loses 100 artillery pieces a day? Ukrainian war propaganda only a retard could believe in?

@a.grimes4202 wdym cope? Look at the map and tell me for how long Ukraine should send human waves to recapture all of their land? For the next hundred years or something?
1
@nerdyali4154 "achieving something" isn't enough to win the war. And it's not this guy's expectations, Budanov stated in in summer Ukraine will be in Crimea. This offensive even had a trailer. It's not hard to send waves of troops for months and take a hundred meters of ground time to time
1
@a.grimes4202 are you saying that Ukraine taking 5x5km pocket in low ground after 4 months of their great offensive (that even had a trailer lol) is a failure for Russia? Can you please explain how could Ukrainian offensive be more of a failure than it is right now? Considering that it's physically impossible to not take any land while sending waves of attacks for months straight
1
@a.grimes4202 It's physically impossible to keep every trench when enemies attacking them over and over for 4 months. But Robotino lasted more than Mariupol defended by 10k best Ukrainian troops I'm curious, if Russia announced some great offensive and promised to take entire Eastern side of Dnepr in a few months - would you call it a failure if they only captured 5x5km pocket in low ground? Just curious about your mental gymnastics
1
@a.grimes4202 are you talking about Russia? Because they focused on encircling cities where Zelensky would sacrifice thousands for PR stunt like Mariupol Lysychansk Severodonetsk and Bahmut. You're winning wars not by taking land, but by destroying enemy army
1
@slickysan I'll tell you a secret, when you're doing human waves for months (which even Budanov admitted) with little to no success against overwhelming artillery and across minefields - you're loosing a lot of troops
1
@tracboy80 Budanov gave interview to The Drive recently and here's a qoute "Currently, all main instances of fighting are done on foot without using any materiel . This is linked to the high saturation of artillery systems on the forefront and also portable anti-tank weapons" - which is human wave tactics
1
@barthoving2053 sending soldiers on foot in attacks over and over without any mechanised support is considered to be human wave tactics. Doesn't matter if it's done in small scale or not
