I think Putin is pushing this because a) he knows the US is vulnerable after the Afghan defeat, or b) to engulf the US in yet another foreign war to weaken us further.

A”Civil War” in Ukraine. Sorry, laughable statement. After USSR invaded & occupied Ukraine, Russians were moved there as a strategic move to disrupt & dilute the Ukrainian population. This is NO civil war; Ukrainians hate Russians & want them out.

@IvyLuvsYa and what about now? Ukraine wants to join NATO due to the threat of Russia. So Ukraine has asked for our help. And Putin is trying to control a foreign country. Who’s meddling now?

@MrDXRamirez yet I disagree. Ukraine is it’s own sovereign nation & Putin doesn’t get to call the shots over what they decide to do. No one is “forcing” Ukraine to join NATO.

@iversonmatthew your first premise is incorrect. This is not a “civil war”. Russians were moved into Ukraine during the USSR occupation for the strategic goal of diluting the Ukrainian population & weakening its national unity. Ask any Ukrainian; they hate Russians & want them out.
