The huge, overwhelming reason countries like Latvia, Poland, Moldova, Romania, Lithuania & Estonia joined NATO is bc they were occupied by Russia (as the Soviet Union), and were afraid of future invasions. Look no further than what’s happening to Ukraine right now. NATO is a strategic DEFENSE group to PROTECT European countries from invasion. It is not intended as aggressive, no matter what bizarre threat Putin sees in his fascist mind. Keep in mind Russia also has missiles pointed right at European countries & cities. He can, but NATO can’t?
