I’m unclear how directly responsible the Queen & monarchy was for the brutality of British colonization? Was it more decisions made by Parliament & Prime Ministers? Had the Queen known all the details, could she have changed anything anyway?

@Jetchisel so thank you for the info. Let’s take that further and say Queen Liz knew about the torture of Kenyans in 1954-56. What could she have done as a new, young monarch? She could have called on the PM to cease the brutality, but what then? In 1954 I venture to guess the Queen would have been in the minority.
