She talks about stopping the murder of black lives. Why is no one addressing the major cause of black deaths? Black on black gun violence.

Oh REALLY?! Sources?

@pepperpitz3291 best shot is to try Canada. Find a skill & start with a company that also has locations in Canada, then apply for a transfer. Try Costco maybe. Once there, apply immediately for citizenship.

How? Republicans block any legislation, any discussion. Why are t voters more engaged?

I think it is already? And Seattle is now down by half the police force it needs. Crime is out of control there & cops don’t respond to 911 calls. It’s a sh¡thole now.

Andre Seewood interesting. Because the South Asian community that came to the US with nothing more than the shirts on their backs have generally eschewed gun violence, gotten great educations in spite of poor school districts, started businesses, in spite of Asian hatred & racism. But, of course attack the messenger, but don’t deal with the violence & gangs endemic within black communities. Only black leaders can address this issue, bc non-blacks will be charged with racism, regardless of the truth, the stats & reality.

Andre Seewood what would you have me call “black on black crime” then? I tire very quickly if this “word police” stuff. You know what I’m referring to & its truth. I appreciate your response. And I agree with the explanative history of the black experience. Pain is hereditary as mine is, even w/o my parents acknowledgement. But it doesn’t answer the question of how we stop the violence within the black community. Today. Now. We all know some of the solutions; stay in school, don’t do drugs, keep a tight family unit instead of gangs. Where is the next Elijah Muhammad? IMO, o/a resistance to the black experience is the fear of its overt violence. 🙏🏼 thank you.

Andre Seewood well said! Bravo. But we both know none of your suggestions are going to be implemented. In fact, the “hand outs” as you put it are being withheld from white communities now. The 1% & corporations (read GOP) have a vested interest in creating an “us vs them” to keep us divided while we scrap for a decreasing piece of the pie- by design. As democrats wring their hands in feigned helplessness. They had 50 years to codify womens rights & abortion & didn’t. They had almost 50 years to make Election Day a national holiday- they didn’t. We need to create that change & that starts, IMO, by sticking together, stop killing each other. Stop seeing each other as enemies when we know who the enemies are. It’s enraging, & then that rage victimizes us further.

She’s another KuntShama Sawant, Dem socialist city council member in Seattle. KuntShama called cops murderers, now Seattle is down by half the police force, & crime is spiraling upwards.
