Personal experience with someone addicted: went thru her parents retirement savings, inheritance for her sister & her kids, mortgaged the business; all for rehab ….. then died of an overdose anyway. That’s just one single example. So HOW? How much money to house, council, feed, medicate, council some more, only for relapse? Let them OD sooner rather than later and spend that money on forgiveness of student loans, you know, for people that are contributing not leaching, by choice.
