  1. Being a landlord is filled with risks. Not being able to filter tenant applicants on criminal history is the last straw. Landlords on the west coast need to get out of the business. Running a rental business is like any other business, landlords need to raise their rental amounts to absorb this huge risk. Oh wait, there’s rent control too!!

  3. Sune Nymann no need to be insulting. Rent control deletes profits, but taxes, repairs, renovations, insurance ALL GO UP. Do your research; all areas that have tried rent control wind up becoming ghettos of wrecked houses because landlords can no longer afford upkeep. Imagine doing this kind of thing to Wall Street or corporations?
