Just so you're aware, buoyancy stops working when the surrounding fluid is weightless or in freefall. If you take a bucket of water onto a zero G airplane, ping pong balls that would normally float on the surface sink into the middle of the mass and just float around in the middle ofthe blob. They are of course falling, but how do they "fall because it's denser" than a material (the air surrounding the water blob inside an airplane) that it's not even touching? I'm going to assume that the Flat Earthers haven't shown you this, have they? It's awfully funny thing that thing that describes things "better" than gravity has zero effect without it. Now, why would they hide this from you....

@annietsang1826 Water is an inanimate object. It does nothing but react to forces acting upon it. The amount of force needed to hold it down is ANY AMOUNT larger than the force acting opposite it. Birds and airplanes, on the other hand, actively work to generate force to oppose gravity. As a reminder, balloons float because gravity pulls the air around it down, pushing the lighter object out of the way. That's why buoyancy STOPS WORKING when the surrounding fluid is weightless. Your force that "explains reality better than gravity" literally has zero localized effect and does nothing without it.

By the way, the SOUTHERN stars don't circle around Polaris. They circle around an empty point in the sky in the middle of the constellation Octans that is due south of Australia, South America, Africa, the Pacific Ocean, and every location in between simultaneously. This creates a mind-shattering paradox of impossible geometry and objects being in multiple locations at the same time when drawn on YOUR map. That's why the Flat Earthers never actually show the REAL movement of the stars in their model - they can't. Your world wasn't created by the god of the Bible. It was created by Azathoth.

@JLar-bb5hl No offense, but if you want to seem educated, never, ever, ever bring up Bart Sibrel. Sibrel's one of the reasons that nobody trusts a word that comes out of the hoaxers' stinking mouths. He's been repeatedly caught blatantly lying about his evidence over and over and over for the last twenty years, including editing his "faking the distance" video to straight up skip around parts of it that a blind man could tell disproved him.

"Flat Earth is science and Globe is scientism" and "Scientists are liars that are controling us and hiding god" are claims that conspiracy nutters ACTUALLY MAKE. Why, then, are you surprised that people took you literally when you have made the EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS that genuine Flat Earthers do? You might want to apologize and redeem your own IQ buddy. @udanis66 Photographs are not size-accurate. The lens you use changes how large details in your photographs are. Telephoto lenses make them look bigger. Wide angle lenses make them look smaller than they actually are. You cannot simply say it should "look 4x the size as it does from Earth" without demonstrating what it should look like with that lens. This is a photograph of the moon taken from a wide angle lens. Can I ask a counter question: What is keeping the air from expanding to fill your dome? How do you have a pressure gradient on Flat Earth that reaches essentially 0 pressure hundreds or thousands of miles below the height at which the "firmament" is supposedly at? Doesn't your own model violate the very laws you're using to criticize the globe? And you don't have gravity as an excuse.

Um..... it is physically impossible for a magnet to only have one pole. A magnetic monopole is a pipe dream, it doesn't exist in physics. If you are able to create one, you will win the Nobel Prize for sure.

@IrelandVonVicious Tesla also spent the latter part of his career producing FAILURES in part because of his stubborn refusal to move on from outdated science and died still trying to use luminiferous aether decades after the scientific community labeled it as non-existent because of a failure to find empirical evidence for it. Despite that, and despite the fact that his own alternatives to gravity have LESS evidence than the "pseudoscience" he opposed, many Flat Earthers and anti-authority posers swear by it outof blind masturbatory fanboy worship. @tombass3288 Tom.... go out into an open field or parking lot, put an object on the ground, and step over it. If you want something large that partially blocks sight, your car will do. Notice how everything except the things that are directly behind your object you is still there? Same sky, same surrounding buildings/landmarks, same ground beneath your feet. How can that be?! You're on the other side of the object, everything should be different!

@brucejordan5738 Bruce, heavy objects "fall faster" than light ones because light objects are more slowed by air resistance and drag, not because of the weight difference. Remove the air and a feather will drop like it's made of lead at the same rate as actual lead. Also, remove the air and "buoyancy and density" is replaced by a large string of ???????? because density is not a force and cannot cause objects to move without violating Newton's First Law of Motion and buoyancy DOESN'T EXIST without a surrounding fluid. By the way, if you take ping pong balls and water onto a zero g airplane, the ping pong balls sink into the water and sit in the blob once you reach freefall. It's awfully interesting that this force that explains falling objects "better than gravity" has no localized effect without it. I guess objects freefall because they're heavier than the air that... they're... not... touching. Huh.

Just as a head, the "Earth is a realm" Tesla quote isn't actually by Tesla. It's a post by some random nobody on the internet that CONTAINED a Tesla quote. Tesla's actual work and personal letters contain numerous references to the Earth being round. As far as electromagnetism, I want you to remember something: Nikola Tesla was an egotistical narcissist. For all of the bitching he did about how the scientific community was using pseudoscience, his own alternatives have LESS evidence backing them up and he spent decades stubbornly using outdated disproved science like aether long, long after the rest of the community abandoned it. By the way, my question is if gravity is electromagnetism, why it not sign dependent? Electromagnetism REPELS objects too. Both positively charged and negativity charged objects, as well as grounded and neutrally charged objects still fall in a vacuum chamber and if objects were being held down by magnetism, then you, me, and all of the oceans would fly up into the sky because both water and organic life are diamagnetic.

@IrelandVonVicious Michelson-Morley isn't the only aether test buddy, just the most famous. Other tests to find it with different methods also failed and no test has ever gotten a positive and been repeated. Also, geocentric Earth has problems. Heliocentrism was developed to address an issue where the retrograde motion of the planets was causing them to do unexplained, difficult to calculate loop-de-loops. We of course now know for sure they aren't spining around drunkenly in their orbits since... you know... we've been measuring them and sending probes to them with modern technology but if you want to join the "It's all wrong and NASA is conspiring against mankind" that's your choice.

Just as a head's up, the "Challenger astronauts are alive" is a scam. The creator took pictures of siblings or other people with similar names and claimed that they were the "same person": - despite the fact that several of them would need facial and dental surgery to match. - despite the fact that they have jobs that they would not be able to be hired for or keep. No astronaut is going to be able to hold a job as an Ivy League law professor because A. the job will, with 100% certainty, get their background and references chked and B. this is a job that requires a Masters in the relevant field and they do not have the education or experience to not be fired for incompetency because they don't have the slightest clue what any of it means. - despite the fact that they CANNOT pretend to be their own siblings because if they ever meet with anybody that knew them or their family, their cover is immediately blown. - despite the fact that if they were alive, the government would have assigned them completely new names like they do with people on Witness Protection. - and despite the fact that there's NO REASON to keep them alive and little reason to fake it in the first place. An assassination is one thing, but staging an accident for shits and giggles does NOT increase your funding and only hurts your operations. If I were in charge of NASA, I'd murder them for real and dispose of the bodies where they'd never be found, possibly the ocean or entomb them in the WIPP facility where nobody will ever open the container, just to get rid of the loose ends, or maybe I'm misunderstanding "Evil organization bent on world conquest." By the way, the statistical likelihood of the astronauts having siblings is approximately 80%.

If you draw the movement of the stars in the Southern Hemisphere on a Flat Earth map, you wind up with a paradox where the same objects are magically 20,000 miles apart in opposite directions at the same time on multiple axes. If the only artist that can accurately draw your model is M.C. Escher, you have a problem.

The hoax scammers have been caught red-handed lying about their evidence, cropping photographs and videos to remove details that disproved them, inventing fake "scientific facts" out of their ass, attributing their "scientific" articles to fake "scientists" that don't exist to boost their credentials, and more. You know that video of the astronauts "faking the distance to the moon"? Not only does the trick in question not actually work (it doesn't work in a moving vehicle because no amount of window cropping will stop the clouds outside from changing as the ship moves), the creator of the video GOT CAUGHT selectively editing his footage to skip over parts of the original where a blind man could tell contradicted him because he was stupid enough to think nobody would check.

Realistically, history would have gone completely differently. Columbus would never have made his journeys (he was ridiculed for underestimating the distance and would have starved in the middle of the ocean without reaching land had the Americas not been in the way, not because people thought it was flat). America would instead have been colonized by following the Viking routes through Greenland and Canada. Remember that during the time of Copernicus, Europe was in the middle of the Spice Trade and early colonization of the Americas. If somebody went up to the elite running society with a proposal to lie about the shape of the Earth, they would have taken one look at their trading route maps and thrown him out when they realize "Hey wait, if we make fake maps to hide this, the sailors carrying our spices, slaves, and soldiers will wind up hundreds of miles away from where they should actually be and possibly die at sea. We LOSE money and LOSE power doing this.

@tombass3288 .... so..... what exactly is so special about the North Pole on your map that warrants avoiding the NORTH pole? It's the South pole that's the problem. Even crossing anywhere through the arctic circle at all is going to give away all your distances are wrong so it's not like it's that damning to your model on its own. Oh my god, the center of the world is.... blue featureless ocean covered in icebergs. Wooooooow. So what's really there that they're hiding? Is there some sort of illuminati doomsday fortress there? Is that where Yggdrasil is? Some sort of unknown holy relic? The monolith from 2001? What? They're probably just avoiding Santa and his reindeer-mounted laser cannons.

So does your book explain the magic behind the moon's motion? Specifically why despite supposedly being close, it does not increase or decrease in size from different locations or as it moves and how it's possible for a nearby object to show the same face to everybody on Earth despite populated cities like London being further away than it is high?

If the conspiracy theorists came out and admitted they were lying to drum up anti-authority sentiments and scam money out of the gullible, the majority of you wouldn't believe it either. You'd lie and claim that they were "threatened" or "Paid off" to maintain your position. I'm not referring to the tidal locking. I'm referring to the fact that we would see parallax and rotation if the moon was close. Surely you've looked at literally any nearby object and noticed that it changes appearance when you move left and right. A 3D object will show different sides. A 2D object becomes skewed, with a circle looking oval to anybody that is not directly 90 degrees perpendicular. And yet the moon doesn't do this, despite the fact that the Flat Earthers claim the moon to be at a height (most common claim is about 3,000 miles) where there would be more than 90 degrees of rotation between the capitol of England, London, and their territory in the Falkland Islands off the coast of South America, both of which are about 3500 miles from the equator. I will show my math if you want. What it does do is act like a 2D sprite in a 3D game, such as an enemy health bar, or an enemy sprite from very early video games like the original Doom, where they always point the camera no matter what angle you view it at, with every single one of the 7 billion humans on Earth seeing it pointing to them individually.. A person 5000 miles west should not see the same shape and sides of a close moon as somebody directly beneath it. You have two options: either the moon is very far away, far enough that the distance you move is inconsequential to the distance to it, in which case Flat Earth is a big fat stinking lie Or you need to get your book approved by Hogwarts because it operates on MAGIC and rules completely alien to any other object on this plane of existence.
