  4.  @YeOldVisigoth  Yeah.... no. Millions of Soviet POWs writing back home about how bad the war was going (from their perspective) would have been a propaganda and domestic morale disaster. Both sides only gave lip service to the Geneva conventions, or even human decency. It is hard for us really grasp just how brutal and inhumane the mentality of this era was.
