  1. Their fear is justified due to their impending failure . Freedom of the press has obligations. One of the obligations , the prime one, is to speak the truth. Speak the truth to power AND the people. Fail here and fail eventually. The New York Times has taken a mandate and turned it into a third world propaganda rag.
