@JackeyBoyyy The Einsatzgruppen and death camps didn't start until after the invasion of the Soviet Union though, so in theory it could have saved 90% of the victims (Goering was not known for being anti-Semitic, and in fact his younger brother actively worked to save people).

@jonathanj.7344 The winter before Stalingrad the Luftwaffe kept an army corps supplied by airdrop in northwestern Russia, around Demyansk (its success was used as an argument that they could do the same at Stalingrad).
