@matchesburn Uh, no .... 😅

@DavidLopez-nc5pq did you realize the range of a depth charge is pretty short?
1
@nathand.9969 the short answer to your question? The Navy was not involved in the development process. Use of helicopters and the tactics were being written as they went. Nor were helicopters particularly powerful, have long-range or much payload. Or have trained Naval aviators.

@matchesburn hedgehogs work on contact. Watch your tone.
1
@matchesburn because it's farcical.

@DavidLopez-nc5pq I'm not sure how people keep going with ideas not used then or now? Nobody was going around throwing depth charges at torpedoes. Then there's the small matter of how much distance the torpedo will cover while you are trying to throw depth charges?

@matchesburn Open forum. Open to all opinions and insights. We agree to disagree with your proposals. And history would seem to back my view.
1
@matchesburn you realize in the year 2023 no one has done any of these ideas of yours? Nor in the last 80 years.
1
@matchesburn Ummmmm..... Pretty please, with Sugar on top.😏
1
@matchesburn actually, I'm showing remarkable restraint to your childish behavior. Have a blessed day.
1
@matchesburn fact remains , you trying to shoot Torpedoes is a dead end.

Conditions of US yards is not going to matter. The economy of Great Britain was stunted for like the next 20 years. They are not out producing the United States in any industry.

What does that even mean?

@hughgordon6435 "Elegance" d: scientific precision, neatness, and simplicity. EXAMPLE "the elegance of a mathematical proof." Well.....🤔 🚢 Can you judge a ship that way?
1
@hughgordon6435 there's nothing precise or simple about a warship however.

Except that we weren't making developments? They were.
