  3. A sail cargo ship? I'm not sure what the point is business-wise? In industry which is already standardized on containers, bulk carriers, ro-ro's and tankers. What do you think you're going to do it this thing?🤔⛵ I mean you talk about specialized cargo. At that point, you just go to air freight.

  4. Ah, the Emden story. As The story goes, the ship had stopped at the island to take out the communication station there. Underwater cables were we're relayed from there. As the landing party was engaged in that activity; the ship was engaged by the HMAS Sydney. Sydney either did not know about the landing party or spot them? Then they used and available boat on the island to make their escape and start their long journey back to Germany. There's an entire movie about it. Sadly, it's all in German.

  6.  @toddwebb7521  yeah, I did see a story about those unmanned drones. And that does make sense for that purpose. I just think a sail powered cargo vessel like this has a lot of issues. There's no speed advantage. It doesn't use standardized cargo containers. It's volume low is small. The masts kind of get in the way of any sort of cranes. 🤷🏽‍♂️ It might make an interesting yacht? But for what they're able to carry , you could probably call UPS...

  11. Didn't you sort of just answer your own question? What's the point of not following the naval treaty if you want to get into the good graces of the world? Also there really is no point in going outside of treaty limits for a Navy at the time barely did any Blue water activity anyway.
