  18.  @strub6732  Not very. They have poor elevation and field of fire. The need for dual purpose guns made them obsolete. So most post WW1 designs shifted to turrets.

Aviation is the same way. While the Smithsonian Air & Space museum is packed daily. Who goes to the USAF museum or the Naval Aviation Museum? Battlefields? Same way. Valley Forge. George Washington's great camp sits in short distance from the 2nd largest mall complex and the PA Turnpike. Everything outside the park is developed.
