  4. Military sidearm? You need to start thinking outside the box of Infantry. As shown with the other services going with the M18. Not a lot of rifle users in the Navy or US Air Force. You have many jobs such as Aviation and with crew-served weapons where a rifle is not appropriate.

  5. There was a limited release of the M45 A1. I highly doubt you're going to see a flood of M9's.

  7. For a start think outside the box of Infantry. Most handgun users are not carrying a rifle. You have people on crew-served weapons. You have aviators. You have Corpsman and medics. You have military police. You have a large number going to the Navy and USAF.

  16. The advantage of the modular concept is that you can change to any color you want. Make an order a green frame. A black frame. All you need is to switch out the Fire Control.

  17.  @williamromine5715  Depends what you are doing? Generally a pistol is is used because it is more handy. If you're a medic or corpsman, it's going to be your primary. Kind of hard to treat people and pack a rifle. If you're in aviation? Not terribly practical for helicopter or aircrew to be lugging around a rifle. If you're the gate guard at a base. Your typically just going to have a pistol.

  18. That's pretty debatable. At any rate, the inventory was overdue for replacement. And it reduces the need for separate firearms that were compact or full-size.
